In this retrospective cohort of patients who underwent both Xray and MRI imaging for suspected hip or pelvic fractures, 14% of those with a normal Xray had either a hip or pelvic fracture on MRI, and 12% with a suspected fracture on Xray did not have one on MRI. The limitations of Xray is ruling in or out hip or pelvic fractures is notable (abstract)
