In this multinational study of patients with STEMI, the US has the highest rates of 30 day readmission, but this rate was significantly attenuated by the much shorter LOS in the US compared to other countries. Short LOS is a trade off for higher 30 day readmission rates in patients post-STEMI in the US (abstract)
